To guarantee the raw material quality used in our products, Herbo Spice Peru S.A.C. counts with the support of its agricultural department, which is responsible for supervising the crop fields and, also, for giving additional and constant technical consultant to our suppliers.

The raw material is received at Herbo Spice Peru factory where is analysed by our Quality Assurance Department. If the product complies with the established parameters, it is selected and classified to determinate its further destination. Then, the selected product is washed and disinfected to improve its sanitary conditions; and finally, it passes through a drying tunnel to eliminate the superficial water obtained in the previous stage.

Once all of this process has been made, the product is chopped for being de-seeded, granulated or grounded according to the final presentation and the costumer specifications.


Milling Process
Our milling process is undertaken by the traditional system of stones, by which the chopped product passes to obtain the expected granulometer grade. Every lot produced in this process is sampled for our laboratory in order to verify its microbiological and physical characteristics. After this, the ground product of each mill is mixed to obtain the required ASTA colour.

Sterilising Process
Herbo Spice Peru has a modern steam sterilisation system which is computer controlled. Here, parameters like temperature and pressure are carefully monitored which allows us to guarantee the highest microbiological quality levels in our final product. It is important to indicate that inside this system, after sterilisation, there is a drying, cooling, and sieve process which has the purpose of adapting the granulometer according to the costumer’s requirements.
